When you buy acoustic office screens from Glendale Products Limited your screens will be light yet fully robust. Many companies manufacture solid wood office screens using chipboard. If you try to lift a screen made from solid chipboard often the weight of this type of screen can invoke lifting issues when installing and moving screens at a later date. As a recommendation from the Health and Safety Executive, a 25kg weight should be achievable for a single person lift.
When heavy screens are transported they are more likely to be damaged, as with very lightweight screens with cardboard faces that frequently suffer damage when they are moved around. Solid office screens offer little acoustic value as their construction only allows for the sound to be reflected as opposed to being absorbed. Glendale Products manufacture acoustic office screens with a series of hollow pockets, an MDF skin and upholstery with fabric and foam. This screen construction allows for a much higher level of sound absorption yet still retaining strength and a lightweight assembly. A system used only by a few manufacturers. |
